Make project issue handling a breeze

During any SAP project, various issues are being raised. 9TEAMS actively supports you during the issue identification, prioritization and resolution process. 


Issues are typically being used for

  • functional issues
  • technical problems
  • organizational misalignment
  • other issues



Within 9TEAMS, an issue is very similar to a request. The process and functionalities are identical, only the naming and values of some fields are specific for issues.


Creating an issue

Creating an issue in 9TEAMS is easy. In the project you click '+ ADD' and select 'Add issue'.  Give the issue a name and select one of the predefined issue templates to support your SAP Activate methodology. [Learn more about document templates here. If you are the owner or admin of this account, we highly recommend you to review and update templates to align with your specific content.]


You will see that - next to the standard fields for a issue - 6 custom fields have been added. These fields have been taken over from the SAP Activate Accelerator documents. 



You can and should update them to your specific context. More information about maintaining custom fields can be found here.



Handling an issue

The purpose of an issue in 9TEAMS is much more than just have a registration or record of the issue. A 9TEAMS issue allows to handle the request and the exchange of information, in the most efficient and compliant way. Use the topics, to document (incl. embedded screenshots) the issue in further detail. By adding tasks to a topic, you can orchestrate and track the work to be done, no matter who's involved.



Archiving an issue

When an issue is completely finished and all tasks have been done, the project/document owner/creator can archive the issue. Click here if you want to learn more about archiving documents.



Visualize the issue funnel

The default view for issues is the list view. However, if you want to get a better overview of the funnel, we recommend to switch to the 'Kanban view'. Drag and Drop requests to update the status. Change 'GROUP BY' to group by other than the status field.
